Third, I wouldn’t be surprised if the person who wrote this article is from the Philippines/ or Filipino. Speaking of, I grew up around many Filipinos. And it’s a no-brainer when you type up the inquiry, “How come Filipino food is the least favorite food amongst southeast Asians?” And countless commenters who totally agree – even Filipinos themselves aren’t afraid to admit in an open forum their food is freakin whack.

Moreover my childhood friends who have moved to the Philippines have specifically told me if I ever travel to southeast Asia that they will meet me in either Thailand or in Vietnam instead. When I asked them, “Why?” Those Filipinos who reside in the Philippines declared, “Because Filipino food sucks! Thai & Vietnamese food taste a lot better than ours!” At least my friends do not have an issue being honest.

I even have Filipino in laws who openly admit their food is nowhere close nor in the same conversation as Vietnamese, Thai, or Laotian cuisine.

In closing, you’re better off re writing this opinionated article without including Cambodian and Laotian cuisine. Because their food is far more superior than Filipino food.
